Eligibility Criteria for All Posts

Educational Qualifications

1. Post Graduate Teacher (PGT):

• Two years’ Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc. Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject; or Master’s Degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the relevant subjects.
• B.Ed. or equivalent degree from a recognized university.
• Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English media.
• Knowledge of computer applications.

2. Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs):

• Four years’ Integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject; or Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subjects.
• B.Ed. or equivalent degree from a recognized university.
• Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).
• Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English medium.
• Knowledge of Computer Applications.

3. Primary Teachers (PRTs):

• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education; or 2-year Diploma in Elementary (Special Education) or equivalent.
• Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).
• Competence to teach through Hindi & English media.
• Knowledge of Computer Applications.

4. Balvatika Teacher:

• Senior Secondary Class (XII or its equivalent) from a recognized Board with at least 50% marks.
• Diploma in Nursery Teacher Education/Pre-school Education/Early childhood Education Programme (D.E.C. Ed) of duration of not less than two years or B.Ed (Nursery) from NCTE recognized Institute.
• Proficiency in English and Hindi.

5. Computer Instructor:

• B.E./B.Tech(Computer Science)/B.C.A/M.C.A/M.Sc(Computer Science) or equivalent.
• Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English.

6. Regional Language Teacher (Odia):

• Graduate with Honors in Odia with minimum 50% marks and B.Ed. from a recognized university.

7. Yoga Instructor:

• Graduation with Diploma/Degree in Yoga from a Govt. Recognized Institution.

8. Vocational Instructors (Sports/Music/Art):

• Degree/Diploma in the concerned field from any recognized institution.
• Experience in the concerned field preferred.

9. Nurse:

• Diploma in nursing/Diploma in General Nursing & Midwife Course/B.Sc. Nursing.

10. Counsellor:

• MA/M.Sc. (Psychology) from a recognized College or University.
• Regular 01 Year Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling.

11. Special Educator:

• Class-XII pass with 50% aggregate mark & D.Ed. Spl.Ed. or its equivalent from a Rehabilitation Council of India recognized Institute.

Age Limit

18 to 65 years for all posts.

Relaxation in CTET: In the absence of CTET qualified candidate, candidate may be considered if otherwise eligible as per KVS recruitment rules.
