Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed 10th class or ITI from a recognized board.
• National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) holders are also eligible.
• Candidates waiting for results are not eligible.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years (As on 01/01/2026).
• Maximum Age: 33 years (As on 01/01/2026).
• Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules.

Nationality

• The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
• Candidates from Nepal and Bhutan are also eligible as per rules.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of four stages:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT)
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
3. Document Verification
4. Medical Examination

Candidates must qualify each stage separately.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

For Male Candidates:

• Lift and carry 35 kg weight for 100 meters in 2 minutes
• Run 1000 meters in 4 minutes 15 seconds

For Female Candidates:

• Lift and carry 20 kg weight for 100 meters in 2 minutes
• Run 1000 meters in 5 minutes 40 seconds

Only candidates who qualify CBT will be called for PET.

Exam Pattern (CBT)

• Total Questions: 100
• Total Marks: 100
• Duration: 90 Minutes
• Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deduction for wrong answer

Subject-wise Marks Distribution:

• General Science – 25 Marks
• Mathematics – 25 Marks
• General Intelligence & Reasoning – 30 Marks
• General Awareness & Current Affairs – 20 Marks

Minimum qualifying marks:

• UR/EWS: 40%
• OBC/SC/ST: 30%

Medical Standards

Candidates invited for Document Verification (DV) must pass the Railway Administration’s medical fitness test(s). This ensures they are medically capable of performing the duties required for their chosen post(s).

Salary Details

Selected candidates will get:

• Basic Pay: ₹18,000 per month
• Dearness Allowance
• House Rent Allowance
• Transport Allowance
• Medical Benefits

The in-hand salary will be around ₹22,500 to ₹25,000 per month.
