  • Focus on financial stability and allocating funds to existing departments.

Key Allocations:

  • Highest allocation: School and mass education department – Rs 33,865 crore (9.71% share).
  • Other significant allocations:
    • Panchayati raj department – Rs 22,543 crore (8.84%).
    • Health and family welfare – Rs 19,729 crore (7.74%).
    • Water resources – Rs 13,267 crore (5.20%).
    • Planning and convergence – Rs 12,043 crore (4.72%).

Economic Performance:

  • Odisha’s economy is expected to grow at 8.5% in 2023-24, exceeding the national average of 7.3%.
  • Food production doubled in the last 22 years.
  • KALIA scheme has benefited over 62 lakh farmers’ families.
  • Millets Mission improving the lives of around 5 lakh farmers.

Healthcare Focus:

  • Priority on achieving “health for all”.
  • Target to develop 1,858 health centers in the next 5 years with Rs 3,389 crore investment.
