Eligibility
Qualification:
- B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Engineering (Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Telecommunication, Communication, Mechanical, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Science, Information Technology)
- Aggregate of all semesters/years – 55% and above for General, OBC (NCL) & EWS Candidates and Pass Class for SC/ST/PwBD (Person with Benchmark Disabilities)
Age (as on 01.02.2024):
- Trainee Engineer (BE/B.TECH): Upper age limit is 28 years
- Trainee Engineer (ME/M.TECH): Upper age limit is 30 years
- Age relaxation: 3 years for OBC (NCL), 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 years for PwBD candidates.

Experience (as on 01.02.2024):
- Preferably experience in providing IT support, including PC maintenance and network management.
- Proficiency in English, Hindi, and regional languages is desirable.
Period of contract
- Trainee Engineer-I (TE): Initially for a period of Two (2) Years from the date of joining, extendable up to a maximum of one more year (Maximum tenure of 3 years including the initial period) depending on project progress and candidate performance.
Salary
Trainee Engineer-I:
- 1st Year: Rs. 30,000/- per month
- 2nd Year: Rs. 35,000/- per month
- 3rd Year: Rs. 40,000/- per month
Roles & Responsibility of Trainee Engineer (TE)
- Provide hardware, software, and coordination support for all IT equipment at CBIC locations.
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, coordinate with vendors, and assist in site audits and training.

Selection Process
- Written Test followed by an Interview.
- 85% Marks for the written test and 15% Marks for the interview.
