Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria to apply for the Assistant Engineer (Civil) and Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) positions:
Age
- Candidates must be between 21 and 38 years of age as of January 1, 2023.
- This means they must have been born between January 2, 1983 and January 1, 2002.
Educational Qualification
- For AEE (Civil): Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.
- For AEE (Mechanical): Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.
- Alternatively, candidates can be an Associated Member of the Institution of Engineers of India (IEI) in the relevant branch (Civil or Mechanical).
Method of Selection
- Selection based on valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score and interview.
- Merit list preparation with 90% weightage to GATE score and 10% to interview.
- Age considered in case of tie in aggregate marks.
- Shortlisting for interview based on GATE score (twice the vacancies advertised, category-wise).
