Vacancy Details
Educational Qualifications
- Master’s Degree: You must have a Master’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university with at least 50% marks. Additionally, you should have successfully completed either:
- Two-year Post Graduate Master’s Course: This program should be in the same subject as your Master’s degree and offered by a Regional College of Education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCERT). Minimum required marks: 50% aggregate.
- Integrated Six-year Post Graduate Master’s Course: This program should also be in the relevant subject and offered by an NCERT-recognized Regional College of Education. Minimum required marks: 50% aggregate.
- B.Ed. or Equivalent: You must possess a B.Ed. degree or an equivalent qualification recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCERT).
- Exception: B.Ed. is not mandatory for subjects where it is not offered as a course.
- Diploma/Degree in Computer Application: Although desirable, it is not mandatory. You must provide a certificate for this qualification from a recognized university, college, or institution affiliated with a recognized university.
Additional Note: B.Ed. is not a mandatory requirement for PGT positions in subjects other than Botany, Chemistry, English, Economics, Geography, History, Hindi, Mathematics, Odia, Physics, Political Science, and Sanskrit.
Age Criteria
- Fresh Candidates: 21 to 38 years
- In-service Candidates: Up to 45 years (as on 01.01.2023)
- Age Relaxation: Applicable as per government norms
Method of Selection
- Written Examination (MCQ pattern)
- Personality Test and Interview (Viva Voce test)
- Negative marking for wrong answers
- Minimum qualifying marks: 33% (aggregate of Paper-I, Paper-II, Paper-III)
