Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill these mandatory requirements as of the last date of application (20/12/2025):
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree: Minimum Second Class in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks or equivalent OGPA.
- Master’s Degree: Minimum Second Class in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks or equivalent OGPA.
- Mandatory Clearance: Candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by ICAR/UGC/CSIR, or a similar recognized test (SLET/SET).
- Publication: Must possess one publication in a NAAS (National Academy of Agricultural Sciences) rated journal.
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 42 years as on 20/12/2025 for General candidates.
- Relaxation: Applicable for SC/ST/SEBC/Women/Ex-Servicemen and PwD candidates as per Odisha Government norms.
- OUAT Employees: No upper age limit applies.

Selection Process
The selection for Assistant Professor is rigorous and includes three primary stages:
- Written Test: Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be called for a mandatory written examination.
- Academic Record Assessment: Weightage will be assigned to qualifications, academic performance, relevant experience, and research publications.
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Personal Interview.
