CTET January 2024 Notification: Application Date, Exam Date & Fees

CTET January 2024 Notification: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the 18th edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on Sunday, January 21, 2024. The test will be held in 20 languages in 135 cities across the country.

Aspiring candidates can apply online only through the CTET website (https://ctet.nic.in) from November 3 to November 23, 2023. The last date to pay the application fee is also November 23, 2023.

The CTET board has notified candidates for the 18th edition of the exam will be conducted in offline mode, using a pen-paper-based format with the OMR system.

Method of Submission of CTET-JAN2024 Online Application Form:

  • Click on the Apply Online link.
  • Fill in the online application form and note down your Registration Number/Application Number.
  • Upload a scanned copy of your latest photograph and signature.
  • Pay the examination fee using a debit/credit card or net banking.
  • Print the confirmation page for your records and future reference.

    CTET January 2024 Exam Pattern

    Both Paper I & II of CTET contain a total of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) each. 1 mark is awarded to correct answers and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. The paper is conducted in offline mode as a pen-and-paper-based test. ​Paper 1 consists of 5 sections while Paper 2 consists of 4 sections.

    • Paper-I is for Classes I to IV teacher candidates.
    • Paper-II is for Classes VI to VIII teacher candidates.

    There is no negative marking for wrong answers in CTET 2024 Exam.
