Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
For Agniveer SSR:
- Qualified in 10+2 with Mathematics & Physics from Boards of School Education recognized by the Ministry of Education, Govt of India, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
- OR Passed a three-year diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Automobiles/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) from Central, State, and UT recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in aggregate.
- OR Passed Two years of Vocational Courses with Non-vocational subjects viz, Physics and Mathematics from Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and UT with 50% marks in aggregate.
For Agniveer MR:
- Candidate must have passed the Matriculation Examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from the Boards of School Education recognized by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.
Age Criteria
Candidates should be born between November 1, 2003, and April 30, 2007, inclusive of both dates.
Marital Status
- Only unmarried Indian male and female candidates are eligible for enrolment as Agniveer in IN (Indian Navy).
- Candidates must provide a certificate confirming their unmarried status at the time of enrolment.
- Agniveers are not permitted to marry during their entire tenure of four years in the Indian Navy.
- If a candidate marries during their tenure or is found to be already married despite providing a certificate of being unmarried, they shall be dismissed from service.

Pregnancy

The number of attempts to appear in the Indian Navy Agnipath Recruitment exam has not been updated by the Indian Navy. Candidates may apply for this position until they reach the maximum age limit and meet other eligibility criteria.
