The Samaja, one of the premier daily newspapers in Odia, has announced total 7 vacancies for Video Editor, Cameraman, Mechanic, Asst. Machine Man Contractual Basis that are now open for applications.
Applications are invited for the following contractual positions:
Video Editor (1 position)
- Location: Bhubaneswar
- Qualification/Eligibility:
- Bachelor’s Degree with video editing certification from a recognized institution or visual communication preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in video editing for a TV/WebTV channel or production company.
- Proficiency in video editing tasks such as merging videos, audio, subtitles, trimming, formatting, etc.
- Experience in creating short and creative videos for news and current affairs.
- Basic editing skills using Adobe Premier/Premier Pro, Photoshop, and knowledge of FCP. Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects is preferred.
- Must have Odia typing skills.
- Responsibilities:
- Editing videos for news and current affairs.
- Compiling different videos and photos, adding music and text.
- Knowledge of video formats, aspect, and frame rates.
Cameraman (1 position)
- Location: Bhubaneswar
- Qualification/Eligibility:
- Degree in Journalism/Mass Media/Photography.
- Familiarity with high-end cameras.
- Basic knowledge of lighting preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in handling cameras for a TV/WebTV channel.
- Willingness to travel.
- Good communication skills.
Mechanic (1 position)
- Location: Cuttack
- Qualification/Eligibility:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the maintenance of Web Offset Printing machines.
Asst. Machine Man (4 positions)
- Location: Cuttack
- Qualification/Eligibility:
- Diploma in Printing Technology/Matric with ITI(Printing).
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Web Offset Colour Printing.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in press maintenance.
