This advertisement aims to invite online applications from aspiring candidates who seek engagement as Junior Teachers (Schematic) within the state’s education system.

Eligibility Criteria for Junior Teacher Recruitment

The Odisha State Education Project Authority (OSEPA) has established clear eligibility criteria for candidates aspiring to be part of the Junior Teacher (Schematic) recruitment process. These criteria are essential to ensure the selection of qualified and capable individuals who can contribute effectively to the education system. Category-I (For Classes I to V):

    • Higher Secondary (+2) with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002.
    • Higher Secondary (+2) with a minimum of 50% marks and a 4-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
    • Higher Secondary (+2) with a minimum of 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Special Education.
    • Graduation along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  4. Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test-l (OTET-I): Candidates must have passed the OTET-I examination.
  5. Odia Language Proficiency: Proficiency in the Odia language is mandatory. Candidates must have Odia as their MIL (Mother Tongue) up to the class-X level or pass an Odia language test equivalent to the Matric standard conducted or declared equivalent by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.

Category-2 (For Classes VI to VIII):

  1. Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
  2. Diploma in Elementary Education: Candidates need to have a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education from a recognized institution.
  3. Alternative Qualifications: Other acceptable qualifications include:
    • Graduation or Post-Graduation with a minimum percentage of marks along with B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education).
    • Higher Secondary (+2) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
    • Higher Secondary (+2) with a minimum of 50% marks and a 4-year B.A. B.Ed./B.Sc. B.Ed.
    • Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and a 1-year B.Ed (Special Education).
  4. Odisha Eligibility Test-ll (OTET-Il): Passing the OTET-Il examination is mandatory.
  5. Odia Language Proficiency: Similar to Category-I, proficiency in the Odia language is a requirement.

Age Eligibility for Junior Teacher Recruitment

The age criteria for the Junior Teacher (Schematic) recruitment, as stipulated by the Odisha State Education Project Authority (OSEPA), are outlined below in comprehensive points:
