OSSC CGL Recruitment Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2023

The OSSC Combined Graduate Level Recruitment Examination (CGLRE)-2023 exam will be conducted in three stages:

Stage I: Preliminary Examination

  • 150 Mark

Candidates numbering a minimum of five times of the vacancies category-wise shall be shortlisted for the Main written Examination based on their marks secured in the Preliminary Examination.

Stage II: Main Written Examination

  • Two Papers -200 Marks
    • Paper-I: Language (Odia and English)
    • Paper-II: (General Studies)

Mathematics Test: Candidates applying for the posts of Auditors will also have to appear for a Mathematics test.

Computer Skill Test: Candidates applying for the posts of Auditors, Inspectors of Supplies, Junior Assistant (HOD), and Junior Assistant (Field Offices) will also have to appear for a Computer Skill Test.

Candidates must score at least 50% in the Computer Skill Test and Mathematics Test (if applicable) to qualify for Certificate Verification.

NOTE: Based on the performance in two papers of the main written examinations and having qualified in Mathematics or Computer Skill Tests whatever applicable, candidates will be shortlisted for document verification.

Stage III: Certificate Verification

Candidates who qualify in the Main Written Examination will be shortlisted for Certificate Verification.

Candidates numbering 1.5 times of the vacancies advertised (Post Wise and category-wise) shall be shortlisted for Certificate Verification based on the marks secured in the Main Written Examination. However, if the number of candidates in any category is less than twenty(20), then candidates numbering two (2) times of the vacancies advertised (Post Wise and category-wise) shall be shortlisted for Certificate Verification.

Important Notes

  • There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the Preliminary and Main Written Examinations.

3. Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability, General Mental Ability:

    • Statement and conclusion
    • Seating arrangements

5. Computer / Internet Awareness:
