Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit:
Candidates must be between 21 and 38 years of age as of 01.01.2024. Age relaxation applies to reserved categories (SC/ST/SEBC/Women/PwD/Ex-Servicemen) as per government rules.
Educational Qualification:
(I) Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – Science (PCM/CBZ):
- Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Science/B.Tech/B.E. with two school subjects or four-year integrated B.Sc. B.Ed. from an NCTE recognized institution.
- Marks Requirement:
- SEBC/SC/ST/PWD/Sportsperson/Ex-Servicemen: 45% aggregate.
- General candidates: 50% aggregate.
- Subjects:
- TGT Science (PCM): Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.
- TGT Science (CBZ): Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biology, Biotechnology.
(II) Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – Arts:
- Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Commerce or Shastri (Sanskrit) Degree with two school subjects or four-year integrated B.A. B.Ed.
- Marks Requirement:
- SEBC/SC/ST/PWD/Sportsperson/Ex-Servicemen: 45%.
- General: 50%.
- Subjects: English, Odia, Hindi, Sanskrit, History, Geography, Economics, Political Science.
(III) Hindi Teacher:
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree with Hindi as an elective and one of the following: Hindi Shikshan Parangat, B.H.Ed., or B.Ed. in Hindi.
- Marks Requirement:
- SEBC/SC/ST/PWD/Sportsperson/Ex-Servicemen: 45%.
- General: 50%.
(IV) Sanskrit Teacher:
- Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree with Sanskrit as an elective or Shastri with Shiksha Shastri (NCTE recognized).
- Marks Requirement:
- SEBC/SC/ST/PWD/Sportsperson/Ex-Servicemen: 45%.
- General: 50%.
(V) Telugu Teacher:
- Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Arts with Telugu and Telugu B.Ed./B.Ed. from NCTE recognized institution.
- Marks Requirement:
- SC/ST/PWD/SEBC: 45%.
- General: 50%.
(VI) Urdu Teacher:
- Qualification: Alim/Fazil with 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PWD/SEBC) and B.Ed./Urdu B.Ed. OR B.A. (Persian) with 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PWD/SEBC).
(VII) Physical Education Teacher:
- Qualification: +2 or equivalent with 45% marks (for reserved categories) and 50% (for general), and C.P.Ed./B.P.Ed./M.P.Ed. from a recognized institution.
Selection Process of LTR Teachers in Odisha
- Written Examination:
Candidates will undergo a written exam based on subjects relevant to their posts. - Document Verification:
Candidates who pass the written test will be called for document verification. - Final Merit List:
The final selection will be based on performance in the written exam and document verification.
