Eligibility criteria
- Age: 21 to 42 years as on 1st September, 2023
- Educational qualification: Master’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade
- Relaxation in age:
- SC/ST/SEBC/Women/Ex-Servicemen: 5 years
- PwD (40% disability): 10 years
- 10 years of age relaxation on the basis of every completed year of continuous service either as guest faculty, management employee, block grant in any of the Govt. or Aided colleges (*2 or +3) will be allowed subject to maximum age limit of 55 years.

Selection Process
The selection process comprises a written test, career assessment, and viva-voce test. The distribution of marks for the career assessment is as follows:
- Career Assessment: Maximum 25 marks
- Post Career Assessment Lecturer: Maximum 75 marks
- Ph.D.: 25 marks
- M.Phil. and/or J.R.F. and/or NET: 10 marks
- Post Career Assessment Lecturer: Maximum 75 marks
Candidates with M.Phil., Ph.D., and NET in the relevant subject will be awarded a maximum of 25 marks. Similarly, candidates with M.Phil./J.R.F and/or NET or M.Phil. with NET will receive a maximum of 10 marks.
The distribution of marks for the written test and viva-voce is as follows:
- Career Written (Multiple Choice Type): 150 marks
- Viva-voce: 25 marks
- Total: 200 marks
A written examination of two hours duration will be conducted in the relevant subject as per the model syllabus available on the website, with a total of 150 marks. Questions (150 in total) will be of multiple-choice type and answered on an OMR Answer Sheet. Correct answers will be awarded 1.5 marks, and incorrect answers will incur a penalty of 0.5 marks. The written examination for all subjects will be held in a single sitting on a designated day.
