Scientific Assistant-B (Radiation Physics)
Essential Qualifications: B.Sc (Physics) with minimum 60% marks.
Age: Minimum 18 but not more than 30 years as on 13.12.2022 for UR category i.e. born on or after 14.12.1992 (both days inclusive).
Desirable: The candidate should have studied Nuclear Physics as one of the Subjects in the Bachelor’s Degree.
Job Profile:
a) Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of research and student laboratory
equipment.
b) Help in the establishment of Secondary Standards Dosimetry Laboratory (SSDL)
at NISER.
Technician-B (Mechanical)
Essential Qualifications: SSC (10th Standard) with minimum 60% marks + Trade certificate of minimum one year duration in the mechanical trade.
OR
SSC (10th Standard) with minimum 60% marks + Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Age: Minimum 18 but not more than 25 years as on 13.12.2022 for UR category i.e. born on or after 14.12.1997 (both days inclusive).
Job Profile:
a) Assist in the fabrication of equipment and preparation of mechanical designs and drawing for medical/radiological physics research laboratory.
b) Help in the establishment of Secondary Standards Dosimetry Laboratory (SSDL) at NISER.
c) Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of research and student laboratory equipment.
Technician-B (Electrical)
Essential Qualifications: SSC (10th Standard) with minimum 60% marks + Trade certificate of minimum one year duration in the electrical trade.
OR
SSC (10th Standard) with minimum 60% marks + Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Age: Minimum 18 but not more than 28 years as on 13.12.2022 for OBC category i.e. born on or after 14.12.1994 (both days inclusive).
Job Profile:
a) Identify faults and perform minor repairs of electrical equipment.
b) Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of research and student laboratory equipment.
c) Help in the establishment of Secondary Standards Dosimetry Laboratory (SSDL) at NISER.
Selection Procedure
- Written Test (60%) + Personal Interview (40%) weightage for Scientific Assistant Cadre Posts.
- Written Test (100%) weightage for Technician Cadre Posts.
- The Trade Test (Qualifying in Nature) is mandatory for both Cadre Posts.
