Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institution in India. The degree should include at least one of the following subjects: Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry, Zoology, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Forestry, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
Selection Process
The selection process for these posts will involve the following stages conducted in succession:
- Written Examination – 1400 Marks
- Physical Test
- Viva Voce Test – 200 Marks
Examination Venue
The written examination will primarily take place in Cuttack. However, depending on the number of candidates from specific zones, it may also be conducted in Bhubaneswar, Balasore, Berhampur, or Sambalpur. Applicants are required to indicate their preferred Examination Zone in the online application form.
Physical Standards
Candidates who qualify in the written test must meet the following physical standards and undergo a physical endurance test for selection by the Commission:
- Male candidates should have a minimum height of 163 cm and a chest measurement of at least 84 cm (expandable to 89 cm).
- Female candidates should have a minimum height of 150 cm and a chest measurement of at least 79 cm (expandable to 84 cm).
- Candidates must pass a physical endurance test consisting of walking:
- Male: 25 km in 4 hours.
- Female: 16 km in 4 hours.
Salary
The selected candidates will be appointed on a regular basis and will be paid a salary in the pay matrix of Rs.44,900-19,600/- (PB-10) for the Forest Ranger post and Rs.56,100-27,500/- (PB-12) for the ACF post. They will also be eligible for other benefits, such as medical allowance, house rent allowance, and leave travel allowance.
