SSB Odisha Recruitment for 101 Vacancies in Non-Teaching
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 21 to 38 years as of 1st January 2024.
Additionally, there are relaxation provisions:
- 5 years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC), Women, and Ex-Servicemen.
- 10 years for candidates belonging to Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories with a permanent disability of 40% or more.
Qualification
- Junior Assistant: +3 in Arts, Science, Commerce, or equivalent, with basic computer skills.
- P.E.T: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or Bachelor’s Degree in Arts with Certificate in Physical Education (B.A.C.P.Ed).
- Laboratory Assistant-Cum-Storekeeper: Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in respective Practical Subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Anthropology, Education, Geography, Geology, Home Science, and Psychology.

Selection Process
- Junior Assistant:
- Written Test (200 Marks) covering subjects like General English, General Knowledge, Mathematics, Reasoning & Mental Ability.
- Skill Test (50 Marks) assessing computer skills.
- P.E.T & Laboratory Assistant:
- Written Test (150 Marks) covering relevant subjects.
- Shortlisted candidates may undergo further verification of certificates.
- Final selection based on the aggregate percentage of marks secured in the written test and skill assessment.
Exam Centre
The written examination will be conducted at various zones including Balasore, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Jeypore, and Sambalpur. The allocation of examination centers depends on the number of candidates from each respective zone. In case of insufficient candidates in any zone, they will be accommodated at the nearest available zone, excluding Bhubaneswar.
