The Press Information Bureau (PIB) has issued a strong warning against a fake job notification claiming recruitment for 4,660 positions in the Indian Railways’ Railway Protection Force (RPF).

The fake notification, which spread rapidly on various websites and social media platforms, falsely stated that the RPF was inviting applications for 4,660 vacancies, including 452 Sub-Inspector (SI) posts and 4,208 constable positions. The fabricated advertisement even mentioned application dates (April 15 to May 14) and outlined details like salary, age limit, educational qualifications, and the application process.
PIB strongly condemned the circulation of this misleading information and emphasized that no such job notification has been issued by the Ministry of Railways. They urged individuals to exercise caution and refrain from sharing any personal or financial information in response to this or similar fraudulent advertisements.
PIB advised the public to stay informed about genuine recruitment opportunities only through official channels of the Ministry of Railways, such as their website and social media pages. This will help individuals avoid falling prey to such deceptive scams.
