To ensure a seamless application process for interested candidates, the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has announced important amendments to its previous recruitment advertisement (No. 27 of 2023-24).
Extension of Application Deadline:
Recognizing the challenges faced due to technical issues, OPSC has extended the deadline for the submission of online application forms. Candidates now have until May 30, 2024, to apply for the post of Assistant Professor (Stage-I) in the College Branch of Government Degree Colleges under the Department of Higher Education.
Subject Clarifications:
Additionally, OPSC has provided clarity on the relevant subjects for certain disciplines:
- In the field of Education, the requirement now specifies “M. A. in Education” instead of the previously listed subjects.
- Similarly, for Commerce, “M.Com” replaces the previously specified subjects.
These adjustments aim to streamline the application process and ensure clarity for applicants.

It’s imperative to note that all other terms and conditions outlined in Advertisement No. 27 of 2023-24 remain unaltered.
