Orissa High Court ASO Recruitment 2023: 53 Vacancies; Exclusive for ST Candidates

The Orissa High Court, Cuttack is conducting a specialized recruitment drive to hire Assistant Section Officers (ASO) specifically for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates. A total of 53 vacancies are currently open for applications.

Age Criteria

• Candidates should be between 21 and 37 years of age as of November 2, 2023 (Age Calculator).
• There is relaxation for ST category candidates.
• Women candidates with a disability of 40% to 50% can avail additional age relaxation.
• Group-“C” and Group-“D” employees of the court may receive a maximum age relaxation of 5 years if they meet the qualifications for the post.

Educational Qualifications

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university, along with adequate computer application knowledge.

Selection Process

The selection process for Odisha High Court Assistant Section Officers includes:

1. Preliminary Written Examination: 150 Marks (2 hours duration)
   • Negative marking: 0.5 marks deducted for each incorrect answer.
2. Main Written Examination: 300 Marks (5 hours duration)
3. Computer Application Test: 100 Marks (1 hour duration)
   • Theory: Assesses theoretical knowledge of computer applications and concepts
     • Marks: 50
     • Duration: 30 minutes
   • Skill Test: Evaluates practical skills in computer applications
     • Marks: 50
     • Duration: 30 minutes
4. Viva-voce Test: 40 Marks

Salary

The selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 35,400 – Rs. 1,12,400 in Level-9 of the Pay Matrix under the ORSP Rules, 2013, with admissible allowances.
